Our week with Tim

By | October 10, 2016

Timothy came up this same week last year and it blew a gale all week.  We rocked and rolled around the Whitsundays.

This time we had blue skies, kinder winds and hot sunny days.  Lots of swimming and snorkeling.  We unfortunately didn’t get to the outer reef but we did get to some of the best snorkeling spots.

I’ll let the pictures tell the story.

Whitehaven Beach …

Haslewood Island … great snorkelling at a new place. We can’t believe we haven’t visited here before.

Check out Tim’s GoPro video of my favourite fish …

Fun at Butterfly Bay. We thought we’d try to match this photo we found in a recent sailing magazine. Ha!  Not so easy we discovered. Especially when the diver is not such a good a diver!  And no one has ever told me … to straighten those legs!

We got our favourite mooring in Butterfly Bay, right down the end.  A beautiful hot day.  We dinghied from here to Luncheon and Mantray Bays for some snorkeling.

Snorkeling at Blue Pearl Bay and Luncheon and Mantaray Bays …

It looks absolutely stunning! Will you take us there next year? It’s turned cold and very windy down here!!

And Amanda – the pics do tell the story! How’s the golfing mate of mine?
