that looks like a great place to keep watching that sail trim its easy to think of other things and leave it but it can make all the difference on getting the best from the sails. it sounds like your noticing the difference in the
new sails .The old sails getting tired is often not noticed till change and then the difference is noticed.
the tracking has showed you doing some good speeds.

Just found your last comment John. Yes we are happy with the new sails. Real test will be sailing along side other boats we have sailed with before. Had some good winds so far, not too strong. Here in Yeppoon now till the rain clears.
